Greg Nielsen
President and Founder

Greg Nielsen brings a successful track record of sales and marketing to IP TELESIS. Greg Nielsen received his Bachelors Degree in Business Management with an emphasis in Information Systems from the University of Utah.

He is the Founding Partner of XILEC Telecommunications, a world-class telecom consulting company specializing in the medium to Fortune 1000 market. He is responsible for developing strategic partnerships with companies like Level (3), Qwest, Verizon, SBC and Global Crossing. He has doubled the channel partner program at XILEC as well as formulated the strategic direction for this organization. During his tenure, Mr. Nielsen has deployed communication systems around the world, including Russia and Mongolia.

He started his telecom career in wireless telecommunications. He was later recruited and worked for XO Communications (formerly Nextlink) immediately after the Telecom act of 1996 at the birth of the CLEC industry. While at XO he earned presidents club honors, including the #1 sales representative nationwide for the Nextlink Solutions division in 1997. Mr. Nielsen held positions of Training Manager and Senior Sales Executive roles with XO.

Mr. Nielsen implemented one of the largest virtual call centers in North America at the time for JetBlue Airways, some of his other accounts included The American Red Cross, Henry Schein and Burgoyne Internet. He has also held regional and Strategic Channel Manager Roles at McLeodUSA where he was honored as the #1 Sales Team company wide two years in a row, generating more than $13 Million in new contract revenue sold in 2002 and more than doubling sales to $28 Million in new contract revenue sold in 2003. He recruited, trained and managed McleodUSA's two largest independent sales teams in the nation. Additionally, Mr. Nielsen was responsible for selling and overseeing the implementation of McLeodUSA's largest customer serving more than 12,000 individual locations.

Greg Nielsen was the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Gadgets.com, a global on-line company specializing in extraordinary and unique products for better living, with product distribution in France, Italy, The Netherlands, England, and North America. He later orchestrated the sale of Gadgets.com to a competitor in the U.K. with a net return to shareholders of nearly 90% of their investment over a period of three years. Mr. Nielsen has also worked in the Software industry as a Senior Sales Executive for Siebel Systems and formerly Vice President of Sales for GoStrategy, a technology integration, IT outsourcing, and management consulting firm.

Andy Day
Vice President Engineering and Co-founder

Andy has a passion for the latest technology and brings over 15 years of experience in sales, and more than 7 years of entrepreneurial experience operating ISP's. Most recently Andy was founder and President of Avalanche Communications a full service ISP, ITSP & outsourced IT Company.

While at the helm of Avalanche Andy established key partnerships with other ISP's and leaders in the Voice over IP space including Level 3 Communications. Prior to Avalanche Andy was a founder and Executive at Broadband Solutions. He served as Director of Residential Sales & Director of Special Projects. As a Director at Broadband Solutions Andy was responsible for product management, sales/marketing, and leading a task force responsible for completely re-designing the network and converting to the latest wireless technology.

Mr. Day was the Director of Sales & Marketing for CogoLink Wireless which was later acquired by Broadband Solutions. While there he negotiated rooftop leases, leased lines and Internet Connectivity. The shareholders at Broadband Solutions and CogoLink relied on him as an interim Controller before and after the acquisition. CogoLink Wireless was a Venture Funded Wireless Internet Service Provider backed by The Canopy Group after being spun off from Legacy Wireless Communications. Mr. Day was the Sales/Marketing Manager for Legacy Wireless and took the organization from 3 employees with $0 sales to 30 employees and several million in annual sales after being spun off and forming CogoLink.

Andy was Founder/CEO and President of CTR Online, a Utah based Internet Service Provider offering Dial-up, IDSN, DSL, T-1, E-commerce solutions and online point of sale software. He later sold this business. He has 3 years experience as IT Director for Day Murray Music, a multi-million dollar privately held retail store, where he developed online marketing increasing sales 200%. Andy has over 7 years experience of Internet marketing and advanced web page design. His marketing experience includes designing fliers, brochures, websites, training manuals, trade show booths and collateral.

Andy is fluent in Mandarin Chinese. He received his AS in Accounting from Salt Lake Community College. While there, Andy was the Marketing Chair for the Fine Arts/Lectures board. He graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelors degree in Business Administration from Franklin University in Columbus, Ohio. He also graduated from the Advanced Computer Applications Management Training program in the top 3%, receiving awards as Vice President and Office Manager.


Don Krause
VP Finance

Don is an experienced financial and operational executive veteran. He understands both the complexities and the fundamentals of business, "how a business works". His twenty-five years of managerial accounting experience covers a diverse range of companies and industries including not-for-profit, finance, manufacturing, wholesale, and retail. Don has been instrumental in creating solutions driven financial controls as Controller and/or Chief Financial Officer at companies throughout the country such as Multimatic Corporation, an international manufacturing company based in New Jersey, one of the first companies to establish manufacturing relations with China in the late 80's.

In 2000, Don was invited to be a member of the Murray City Mayor's Centennial Commission along with other community leaders to consult with city leaders on key issues concerning Murray City moving into the 21st century. Murray City is a power utility provider and an anchor city in the Utah Telecommunication Open Infrastructure Agency, better known as UTOPIA. The agency includes fourteen Utah cities that have joined together to create one of the nation's largest, fastest, most robust fiber-optic networks, of which Murray has become UTOPIA’s most successfully deployed city.

Most recently, Don was Chief Financial Officer of Heart to Heart Adoptions, a not-for-profit adoption agency. Don holds a Bachelors Degree from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah.


Brian Pettersen
Co-Founder and Director

Early in his career, Brian Pettersen spent sixteen years in the securities industry as a registered securities broker and wholesale stocks and bonds trader. While with Covey and Company, a boutique NYSE member, and Paulsen Investments, his team completed many successful IPO’s. He has been involved in several private equity projects many of which were brought public through merger or acquisition. Brian Pettersen was a founding member of World Wireless Communications, a company that developed and provided hardware and software for wireless communications companies, most notably for Matsasushi Corporation, whose holding include Panasonic Corporation. Brian was instrumental in bringing the company public and gain listing on the American Stock exchange. Mr. Pettersen was President of Internet Research Services, a consulting firm that catered to publicly traded entities based in the United States.

Brain Pettersen was one of the founding partners of Rocky Mountain Communication (UIS), an Internet Services Company he help establish in 1994 and later sold to Idacorp (IDA) in 2001. Prior to the acquisition, Mr. Pettersen help grow RMC to one of the larger ISP's in the mountain west. He remained with Velocitus (RMC), an Idacorp company for two years heading up their mergers and acquisitions division.

Over his career, Mr. Pettersen has formed or been part of many successful startup companies in the public and private sectors.

Recently, Brian was the founder and president of Telecom Management Services, a Telecommunications consulting and engineering firm. Brian's years of experience in the telecommunications and securities industries as well as his skillful M&A development will continue to drive growth at IP Telesis.

Mr. Pettersen received his Bachelors Degree in Marketing from the University of Utah.


Martin Toha
Director

Martin is the Founder, Owner and President VoIP.com. VoIP.com is the leader in Voice over the Internet for Consumers and the creator of many innovative products like Mobile Line2, VoIP communicator, a true Skype killer, as well as many other unique features/functionality. VoIP.com is based in Florida, with offices throughout the country. Mr. Toha is also the Founder and President of Rapid Portal Software, the brains and technology behind many of the most successful eCommerce, Web Publishing, Network Monitoring and other High Performance Internet Services companies on the internet today. He brings a unique skill and understanding to software, fulfillment and related technologies to IP Telesis.
