New Additions to Executive Team

AUSTIN, TX - Jan. 24/PRNewswire/ - IP Telesis, a premier wholesale VoIP services provider, announced today that it has added industry veterans, Gene Nielsen and Dan Guenther to its executive management team. These new hires add significant technical and business experience and to the IP Telesis team.

Gene Nielsen was hired as the new CFO to manage the daily operations of the IP Telesis finance and accounting department and to head up the mergers & acquisitions as IP Telesis prepares for its coming expansion. Gene joins IP Telesis most recently from serving as Chief Operating Officer (COO) for a major division of Motorola, Inc. a leading software provider to the criminal justice and public safety sector.

Gene is a CPA and brings over 25 years of executive leadership in finance, operations, IT, sales and human resources. He has directed comprehensive change at several companies resulting in significant financial improvement, much higher customer retention, enhanced organizational performance, improved staff satisfaction and stronger business relationships.

Prior to Motorola, he was a key member of the CRISNET management team. As COO and CFO, he directed the transformation and restructuring allowing phenomenal revenue growth and the sale to Motorola.

Before joining CRISNET, Gene served as Chief Financial Officer of Anderson Corporation. At Anderson He led Finance and served as Secretary-Treasurer of all business entities. He oversaw $180 million in annual construction revenue and 600,000 square feet of rentable commercial, industrial and office space.

Gene has significant federal contracting experience for the U.S. Department of Labor, having performed operational audits throughout the country. He was a federal contractor to the FDIC/RTC for failed thrift and loan organizations where he performed valuations of the liquidation of savings and loans’ and banks’ assets. He has served as a peer reviewer for the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). He has done extensive consulting on initial public offerings (IPOs) as well as secondary offerings.

He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Utah Association of Certified Public Accountants. He is a graduate of Leadership Utah, a leadership training program offered by the Salt Lake Area Chamber of Commerce, and is a member of the Leadership Utah Alumni Association.

In addition to Gene Nielsen, IP Telesis has also recently added Dan Guenther as Vice President of Sales. Dan brings over 10 years of Sales Management experience in the software and telecommunication industries to his new role.

Prior to joining the IP Telesis team, Dan was the Director of Channel Sales for LignUp an innovative VoIP Softswitch company. As a founding member of LignUp, Dan was instrumental in creating valuable partnerships with many traditional telcos and internet service providers looking to migrate their networks over to VoIP. With his engineering background in SIP and VoIP technologies, Mr. Guenther was able to help these providers gain an understanding of how to implement the next generation in telecommunications network capabilities.

Prior to LignUp, Mr. Guenther served as VP of International Sales and Business Development at FatPipe Networks, where he successfully led the effort to create an international channel of distribution and reseller partners. FatPipe was the leading provider of communications network redundancy and fail-over technologies.

Prior to his experiences building LignUp and Fatpipe, Dan held executive positions at MicroMuse, Northrup-Grumman and GE Capital IT Consulting. As General Manager of MicroMuse’s Federal Government sales team, Dan increased the business unit’s sales tenfold and was instrumental in designing and implementing some of the largest communications command centers in use by the military today.
